Thanks to the Atal tunnel, the mesmerizing Lahaul valley is now more accessible. You can now club your Lahaul valley trip with Manali trip. However, planning is still very essential to ensure that you acclimatize. The headquarters of Lahaul is Keylong and is situated about 72 Km from Manali. Here, we provide the most common itinerary Lahaul itinerary from Delhi or Chandigarh. 

Day 1: Start from Delhi or Chandigarh. Overnight journey to Manali. 

Day 2 & 3: Explore Manali. Allow yourself some resting time and see sights in & around Manali. Visit places such as Solang Valley, Naggar, and Aleo. Walk around in the Mall road. Food is great and worth trying. 

Day 4: Head to Sissu, Keylong, and Jispa. After crossing the Atal tunnel, you will enter the Lahaul valley. The landscape changes dramatically and you will see the beautiful Chenab river. As you come closer to Jispa, you’ll start seeing the more arid mountains, similar to those in Ladakh and Spiti. Overnight stay at Jispa. 

Day 5: Head to Baralachala and Sarchu. On this route, you will see many beautiful places such as Suraj Tal, Deepak Tal, and then the mighty Baralacha-la. At Zing zing bar, stop for a delicious garlic-tomato soup and Maggi. Overnight stay at Sarchu. 

Day 6: Return to Keylong. Leisurely, return to Keylong. Stay at Keylong and explore the places you may have missed previously. 

Day 7: Head to Udaipur. Enter Pattan valley situated in the west of Lahaul. A lot of places with religious significance are in this region. Visit places such as, Mrikula Devi Mata temple and Triloknath Temple. Overnight stay at Udaipur. 

Day 8: Udaipur sightseeing. Explore places near Udaipur. Visit Miyar Valley and some scenic villages such as, Tingrit, Urgos, and Shukto. Overnight stay at Udaipur. 

Day 9: Return to Manali. 

Day 10: Return home with beautiful memories.
